„I Just Get More Tired and Bloated as Years Go On”. The Rookie Actor Nathan Fillion Struggled for 7 Years with a Role That Stressed Him More and More Each Day
Nathan Fillion recalls badly the time he spent on the set of his crime hit, which was a source of stress for him.

The Rookie star Nathan Fillion confessed that at one point working on his previous crime hit, the Castle TV series, became extremely stressful. The actor was exhausted by the demanding project, for which he had lost his enthusiasm and through which he was in increasingly poor shape.
Many TV series fans became familiar with Fillion precisely because of Castle, not The Rookie. It was a procedural series in which he starred alongside Stana Katic. It dealt with murders committed by a certain psychopath, who was planning them based on Richard Castle's novels. Detective Beckett asked for help in solving the case from the writer, who used his experience to try to get to the bottom of it.
Fillion, unfortunately, doesn’t have the best recollection of his experience on the set. Being a guest on the Inside of You podcast, he itted that he got along great with the cast, but instead had a problem with the intense work schedule, which wore him out. The actor couldn't handle it.
Castle was stressful just for the schedule alone. It was an intense schedule. Five and sometimes six [days a week].
You can look at photos of me during that time. I just get kind of more tired and bloated as years go on.
Fillion says he was able to cope because he knew it would all come to an end at some point. He saw a light at the end of the tunnel, which helped him see this project through to the end without giving up because of the stress that accompanied it.
Castle TV series aired for 8 seasons and from the 2nd series they had more than 20 episodes each, so preparing them must have been time-consuming. And the crew and cast had no time to waste, as new seasons came out every year, so the work schedule really had to be intense.
