Developers See Callisto Protocol as Live-service Game; Promise 4 Years of
The developers of The Callisto Protocol it that they will invest in creating DLCs. In addition, the game is to be ed for as many as four years after its release.

The release of survival horror materials from the game are eager to reveal new information about it. Recently, the director of technology at Striking Distance Studios, Mark James, in an interview with True Trophies at the gamescom trade show, announced that The Callisto Protocol will be a live-service game ed for four years.
When asked about DLCs for the game, James said that the studio intends to invest in creating expansions. The game's world is expected to tell different stories, and some of them may be presented just within the DLCs. The Callisto Protocol will, however, receive not only story DLCs, but also ones that will introduce "different gameplay modes".
Thus, the game will not be abandoned to its fate immediately after release. This is potentially good news for players who will want to stay with The Callisto Protocol for longer.
"(...) Every developer, when he creates a new brand, likes to think of it as a long-ed service. Creating a new IP is really expensive, so we always want to try to get as much out of it as possible," said Mark James.
You can already see evidence of plans for long-term for The Callisto Protocol, if only in the form of the Deluxe edition of the game, available in preorder, which includes, among other things, a season . The Callisto Protocol is scheduled to come out on December 2 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
