Seems Like Epic Quietly Canceled F2P Unreal Tournament 3
The announced F2P Unreal Tournament 3 may not appear in stores at all. An Epic Games spokesperson declined to comment on the latest revelations.

|Have you been waiting for Epic Games probably cancelled the release of the game. As noted by informant Wario64, yesterday on the game'sproduct card on Steam (via SteamDB) some significant corrections were made, which seem to confirm a change in the publisher's plans.
Abandoned Unreal Tournament 3
Last December, news broke of the was to receive a F2P version, devoid of microtransactions. The title was to be available on Steam, GOG, as well as Epic Games Store, and offer crossplay.

Currently, there is no tab for Unreal Tournament 3 at all, be it on GOG or Epic Games Store, and on Steam it appears that it is not available in the store. However, on the aforementioned SteamDB page you can see that the product description has been changed. The part about the free shooter and crossplay has been dropped.
Epic Games "has nothing to say"
To confirm speculation about the cancellation of F2P Unreal Tournament 3, Kotaku ed Epic Games. In response, a spokesperson for the company conveyed that they have nothing to say on the subject. So it looks like fans of the series must be ready to forget the free UT3.
