Update 19 broke Forza Motorsport's streak of small wins. Players are disappointed by new car selection despite the presence of legends
As announced, April in Forza Motorsport will be marked by the Porsche brand. Today's Update 19 added seven free cars, and while there are some iconic models, players were hoping for something more.

Since January, the updates Forza Motorsport has received haven't introduced major new gameplay features, but they have somewhat made up for it by providing players with a wealth of extra cars. The Update 19 released today only slightly differs from the previous ones in of the number of vehicles included. However, players aren't thrilled with it.
New cars in Patch 19
Let's start with the content. From today until the end of April, seven new cars will be added to the game. Although there are eight positions on the list below, two of them are the same model, the 935/78, but in the colors of different racing teams.

We have here two completely new machines in the "universe" of Forza - the racing 924 GTP Le Mans and 961 - as well as two new vehicles that appeared a few months earlier in the game Forza Horizon 5 - the 911 GT3 R and 911 Turbo S. Most players are satisfied with these four cars.
However, the remaining trio, brought back from Forza Motorsport 7, causes disappointment. In both this and the previous installment, there remained many Porsche models that were more sought after, especially the 2019 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport, which was essential for enhancing the underrepresented GT4 racing class. Besides, not everyone appreciates the "monothematic" nature of this update, and there is growing fatigue due to the lack of more specific changes in the game for many months.
Other changes in Update 19
Aside from the added content, Update 19 only fixes some errors and introduces small changes.
- In Rivals mode, a new category of ranked time trials has been permanently introduced, enabling you to test cars with the same "balance of performance" (BoP) specifications as those in the recommended competitions in Featured Multiplayer mode, across 22 different divisions.
- The next three cars received improved engine sounds: 2016 Ford Shelby GT-350R, 2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, and 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG.
- Three cars were removed from the Forza GT3 division in the recommended multiplayer races: 2017 Ferrari 488 Challenge, 2015 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo, and 2018 Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Evo. In the future, they are expected to have dedicated races just for them (just like in reality).
- The starting condition of tire debris coverage on the track in career races has been slightly adjusted (it has been reduced in practice sessions and increased in races). Furthermore, the asphalt will no longer gradually "rubberize" during driving in Rivals mode.
Many players are already looking forward to the 20th Anniversary Update, which will bring back the iconic Fujimi Kaido track in early May to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Forza Motorsport series. They hope that this opportunity will be marked by more significant improvements to the game. I hope they didn't miscalculate...
