Bugs in games do not always have grave consequences, making them hard, or even impossible, to play. Sometimes, they take more innocent form that can make otherwise serious game less intense. Throughout many years of its existence, CS:GO. The production is still enjoyed by millions of fans daily (via SteamDB), thus it’s being regularly maintained. Let’s explore the story of one, less fortunate update that send the players to the moon, almost quite literally, as it messed up the ragdoll system.

Ragdoll bug in CS2 explained

New Year is a time when most of us celebrate and party. It appears that CS2 developers from Valve are still in a bit of a festive mood, as not that long ago a patch reached this game that messed up ragdoll settings sending players flying across the map upon their death. You can ire a glamorous example of those flights in one of Reddit threads. This was relatively quickly fixed, and…

Yes, no one should be surprised that at least some fans liked it. There are multiple posts on the Steam’s Discussions section of CS2 that beg the devs to bring this bug back. However, the chances of this happening are rather slim. We must that this title is one of the biggest competitive productions in the gaming world, so while a bit of silliness is fine, it most likely won’t make a comeback. For many pro-players, such insane ragdoll can give hints about enemy positions, potentially altering how the game is played.

As Linus Torvalds once said – “If it’s something that s rely on, it’s not a bug – it’s a feature.”. We have to keep in mind that even though it might be hilarious at first, it definitely won’t stay funny forever. “Carpe diem” is an old saying that tells us to have fun while it lasts, so let’s not be sad that it’s ended, but rather rejoice because it happened.
