Sirene is the mandatory boss in Expedition 33 and the second axon you will face. On this page of the guide we have listed how to find her, how to defeat her and what are the rewards for defeating her.
Last update:
Sirene is the ninth mandatory boss in Expedition 33. She is the second, more powerful axon and at the same time, the last thing standing on your way to the Monolith. On this guide page, we describe where to find the boss, what their weak points are and what they're vulnerable to, as well as what the rewards are for winning the encounter.
Where is Sirene?
You'll find Sirene at the end of the region of the same name. You will find her when you reach the Dancing Arena flag. The boss is mandatory and fighting her is required to make progress in the game.
Sirene's attacks
- Widow's charm - one of the dancers approaches you and casts a charming spell. The spell is very delayed and consists of three rhythmic bursts. Only the third explosion will hit you, so listen for the first two explosions and parry the third one accordingly. Sometimes the dancer will cast the spell twice; you can parry the second one the same way as the first one.
- Dancing with the Glissandos - Sirene throws two Glissandos at your team. Be ready to parry twice shortly after the levitating worms move back.
- Seduction - Sirene tries to enchant one member of the team. Perform a single gradient counterattack as soon as the world changes color.
- Glissandos earthquake - Sirene summons two Glissandos, which shake the ground. You have to jump over their earthquakes three times.
- Furious strike on the ground - Sirene, after a few seconds delay, performs three area punches. Here, it's best to just dodge them intuitively - the blows are not preceded by any characteristic sounds or visual signs.
- The Grand Ballet - Sirene summons five dancers, who attack the entire team five times. First, the dancers stop on the right side of the screen, then they fly through the expedition. The parrying window here is slightly deceptive - parry right after the dancers stop in the lower right corner of the screen. The last dancer will start moving with a delay.
- The Final Act - Sirene performs seven area strikes. First, an earthquake that you have to jump over, followed by the dancer's flight that you need to parry at the end of the characteristic sound. The boss performs these attacks three times, alternately. At the end, the boss throws a huge pillar at you - dodge it intuitively.
How to defeat Sirene?
The boss is susceptible to Dark and resistant to Light. While fighting Sirene, the Anti-Charm Lumina, which you obtained by defeating Tisseur, may come in handy. Although it's quite easy to avoid the charm, Sirene casts it very often, so a minor stumble can ruin you - it's worth protecting yourself. Aim at the purple apparition on the edge of the cliff, not at the giant Sirene in the background.
During the fight, Sirene becomes more and more aggressive and attacks more frequently - over time, you will be forced to dodge and parry many blows in a row. At the end of the clash, after the start of the Final Act, the arena will be covered in darkness, and your team will be cursed - you will have four turns to defeat the boss. Try to parry as many attacks as possible at the end of the fight to perform frequent counterattacks.
Rewards for defeating Sirene
For defeating Sirene, you will receive:
- 108,120 XP;
- 7,050 Chroma;
- Tisseron - weapon for Sciel;
- Picto - Energising Turn - you receive one more action point at the beginning of a turn.
- Resplendent Chroma Catalyst x3.
