Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2

Mechanics

Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! 2 is a dynamic action game divided into stages, set in such places as forest ruins or the city of Lutecia. Just like in the first game, the playable characters must traverse the levels and fight enemies. Alongside new standard enemies and challenging bosses there are also additions and improvements made to the gameplay.

More enemies now require more unique attacks to beat. Each character has a different moveset, both of which have been expanded. New additions to combat also include Fury mode and ultimate attacks for both characters, which can immediately end an encounter. Though the heroes' primary weapons are their bare fists, bandits and Romans can also be dispatched via destructible environment, thrown barrels or menhirs.

The game s singleplayer and two player co-op.

Technical aspects

Just like the first game, Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! 2 features colorful, cel-shaded 2D visuals, retaining the comic books' cartoonish visuals. The game is a side-scroller - the events are shown from the side, while the stage scrolls to the right as we move through it. The plot is shown through animated cutscenes.
