Blood Bowl 3 is the next installment of a brutal sports game in which the races known from the Warhammer universe fight each other in a bloody version of American football.
Blood Bowl III is the third instalment of the series of extremely brutal sports games. The game develops the solutions known from previous installments. Players can once again control the races known from the Warhammer universe and play violent American football matches. Game was developed by Cyanide Studio, known for Styx series.
Blood Bowl III is a quasi-sports, turn-based strategy game, in which we play matches reminiscent of American football - with the difference that in teams we can come across, among others, orcs and dwarves. In this game we look at the action from different perspectives - the camera often changes its position to show us the actions of the players.
The game offers several playable races (each of them has its own stadium and cheerleaders). The gameplay comes down to giving orders to individual athletes - we decide on their position and actions to perform at a given moment. The main goal of the game is of course to win the match, and we can try to achieve it both by scoring points and eliminating players of the enemy team.
As the player progresses in the game, he can develop the skills of his players. You should also watch out for injuries, which are common in the Blood Bowl league.
In Blood Bowl III we can play solo or with other players. The game offers a single player mode and an online multiplayer mode.
Blood Bowl III has decent, 3D graphics. The setting does not stand out in any particular way, but it very well reflects the unique atmosphere of the Warhammer world and Blood Bowl games - this can be seen both in the characteristic models of players and objects on which the matches are played.

GamingTrend: 85 / 100
The game is rather complex, with plenty of ins and outs to uncover and learn. It is undoubtedly challenging for newbies and can be overwhelming at first. However, you will eventually figure it out if you give the game a chance and don't get discouraged immediately. Once you get the gist of it, matches are engaging and gratifying, and you will be compelled to play over and over again.Blood Bowl 3 is not yet another turn-based RPG or rogue-like deck-building game. It is a rare mix of turn-based fantasy strategy and sports that requires relentless dedication. However, its significant emphasis on turn-based strategy, its fantasy theme, its Warhammer setting, and its extensive use of gore and violence may intrigue gamers who may not enjoy sports games at first but love tabletop-inspired games. Whatever the case, Blood Bowl 3 is worth trying; you may discover a rich, thrilling game that stands out with its bloodlust.
Thumb Culture: 3 / 5
Blood Bowl’s customisation doesn’t seem to exist at all. All players are visually the same, with only paid armour being any different. No options for different hairstyles, colours or scars, with all the characters looking very much copy and paste. The game seems very slow, with the A.I. taking ages to take their turn, and with no speed up, this gets annoying.

The UI is still terrible, but playable. And the AI is again absolutely braindead, but we all know the real game is in the mutiplayer anyway. And Cyanide has already posted a comprehensive roap, which should fill in a few missing gaps as well. Still as fun as it is, Blood Bowl 3 is a warning of what some developers and publishers are willing to try to make a quick buck. It may be fixed and fun now, but we can’t forget when it wasn’t.
