Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light is a typical representative of the RPG genre created by Matrix Software, which previously undertook to release the third and fourth part of the series on the Nintendo DS console in a refreshed form. This production is a completely new game, not based on any of its predecessors.

The plot is simple and classic for the first productions of this genre. In this way, the creators wanted to refer to the beginnings of the brand. The main character is a fourteen-year-old boy Brandt, who is to present himself in the castle to the king as a person just reaching adulthood. On the spot, however, it turns out that the ruler's youngest daughter was abducted by the Witch from the North, and the main character is given the task of saving the princess. During his adventure he is ed by three companions who want to help him achieve his goal.
