FRU is a simple platformer developed by Thorough Games studio with Kinect move controller in mind. The players lead a small, mustached protagonist through around a dozen of diverse levels, located in several different worlds. The point of the game is that the world needs to be discovered by means of actual gestures of the player, directed to the console via the Kinect controller.
FRU is an ingenious platform game created by an independent development studio Through Games and using the capabilities of the Kinect motion controller. The title allows us to lead a small bearded hero through several different levels taking place in different worlds.
The game takes place in a very original way - most of the game world is discovered by a person standing in front of a Kinect sensor, thanks to which the player's shadow is transferred to the virtual reality. Thanks to the proper positioning of the body in front of the console, we can easily point the way that our virtual client follows. An additional challenge is also to perform various operations with the use of gestures, for example: by waving your hand, we mark the place where the hero should go, and with the appropriate arrangement of the body we create a virtual bridge.
In addition to single player gameplay, the FRU also offers cooperation mode, where two players take control of a duo of heroes. The game's visual setting is simple and schematic - level designs are made using not very complex textures, and the animation of the main character is uncomplicated.
The game requires a Kinect controller to work.
