Gwent: Once Upon a Pyre is an X mini-expansion for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. It is the first of three parts of Price of Power add-on, made available by CD Projekt studio as a free update.
Once Upon a Pyre begins the storyline of Price of Power, focusing on magic and the factions in the Witcher world that want to possess it.
Gwent: Price of Power - Once Upon a Pyre introduces 26 new cards to the game. In accordance with the theme of the mini-add-on, most of them refer to the hunt for people who practice magic. Thus, the expansion includes more witch hunters and cultists, but also wizards, spells and much more. Along with this, players received three new trees in the Reward Book and a handful of changes to the gameplay mechanics, including dropping the cargo system as a mechanic of kingdoms of the North and replacing it with restoration, as well as two new keywords: Sabbath and Patience.
