The fifth part of the slasher series from Capcom. In Onimusha: Way of the Sword we play as one of the titular warriors, exploring a fantasy version of Kyoto from the Edo period. Our main job is eliminating hordes of monsters, using a katana or a unique Oni Gauntlet.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is the fifth main installment in the slasher series, which dates back to 2001. The game was developed and released by Capcom, the company overseeing the brand.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword takes us to an alternate, fantasy version of Kyoto from the Edo-period. The city is overrun by sinister forces and monsters from the underworld called the Genma. During the game we take on the role of one of the titular warriors who decides to face them.
In Onimusha: Way of the Sword the action is viewed from a third-person perspective (TPP). While exploring Kyoto, we mainly engage in dynamic battles with opponents.On the battlefield we use the katana and the Oni Gauntlet - an artifact that allows us to kill enemies that did not come from our world. The combat system from the game rewards agility and reflexes, as well as merging attacks into combinations.
