Project Wingman is an alternative reality-based arcade game. During the adventure, the player takes on the role of a fighter pilot and takes part in a global conflict, covering almost the entire Earth.

The action presented in Project Wingman is set in an alternative reality in which the Earth is in global conflict. The player takes on the role of a pilot, who takes part in battles and hits the different regions of the world.
Project Wingman is purely arcade and therefore does not include the mechanics characteristic of simulation. The player sits at the helm of one of the available aircraft models and fights with enemy troops (among them are also the stronger boss units). During these battles, it uses a variety of weapons that can be mounted on a fighter.
The core of the game in Project Wingman is the Conquest Mode. In this mode, the player hits the sectorially divided area. Its task is to reflect the entire area from the hands of the enemy.
Project Wingman offers a realistic and very detailed graphic design. Each of the world's regions has been faithfully mapped out. Additionally, the game offers for virtual reality goggles - Valve Index, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift.

Project Wingman is an amazing air combat adventure from a team of developers who truly love the genre. Its campaign is fairly predictable, and you may wish for more planes, but the gameplay is just too damn good to overlook. There’s a noticeable layer of quality found in each mission that transcends into the Conquest Mode, which will keep you coming back for more.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then Project Wingman is the most blatent flattery I've ever seen. It's good, but never really manages to be better than "A good Ace Combat fan game."

With a variety of missions to choose from at each stage and in-depth customization options, Project Wingman also tests the player’s intelligence in creating synergistic builds and risk-reward assessments. Aside from a multiplayer mode, which this game sadly lacks, this is one of the best infinitely replayable jet-fighter game modes I’ve ever seen.
