Release Date: November 12, 2015
It is the second installment in a jRPG series - Project X Zone, published in 2012, in which players lead a team of characters from several popular franchises created by SEGA, Capcom, and Namco Bandai, including Resident Evil, Tekken, Megaman X, Devil May Cry, and Sakura Wars. The story features a fictional world combining token locations and buildings from the aforementioned games.
Project X Zone 2 is the second installment of the jRPG series of tactical games, where we can lead the team of characters from popular titles such as Resident Evil, Tekken, Megaman X, Devil May Cry or Sakura Wars. Monolith Software studio is responsible for producing versions for Nintendo 3DS.
The story takes place in a fictional world, a combination of locations and buildings known from SEGA, Capcom and Bandai Namco games. The characters we control and the NPCs we meet are also alive from other series. And so we can play Dante or Vergila from Devil May Cry, X or Zero from Megaman X, Leon from Resident Evil, Jina Kazama from the Tekken series and many other characters from games such as .hack///, Strider, Soul Calibur V, Virtua Fighter or Shinobi. In total, several hundred unique heroes have been put at the player's disposal, which we can embody in our team.
The game is divided into two segments. The first one is to travel around the world seen from an isometric perspective, looking for objects, opponents and talking to other characters. Each movement takes action points, which can be used in a given turn. If we start a skirmish, turn-based restrictions disappear - we move to the battlefield and fight there in a small space using our characters. The matches in this form very much resemble a classic fight. At the same time we can control two heroes, but thanks to special skill we will occasionally allow a third hero to help.
Graphic design of Project X Zone 2 on Nintendo 3DS looks decent. The whole is maintained in manga and anime style, but this is mainly due to what characters are placed in the game.

Game Ratings for Project X Zone 2 Video Game.
Hardcore Gamer: 4 / 5 by Jason Bohn
Project X Zone 2 is a funny, charming and amusing title.
IGN: 6.5 / 10 by Henry Gilbert
Judged against other tactics games, there are so many better options on the 3DS that Project X Zone 2 doesn't rate. Don't come expecting deep gameplay or even inventive updates to distinguish it from the previous game. PXZ2 is much more interested in matching up a diverse set of mascots for maximum humor and references to classic Japanese game series, which it skillfully handles most of the time. Nostalgia can only take PXZ2 so far in a lengthy campaign of average strategy gameplay, but it's an engaging old-school reunion while it lasts.
ZTGD: 8.5 / 10 by Jae Lee
Project X Zone 2 is a deeper, more satisfying experience as it is greatly improved from the original in every single way. It's a shrine to a great cast of characters we've grown fond of over the years, carefully crafted by people who love these characters just as much as we do.
