Another installment in one of the most popular golf simulation game series by EA Sports, for the first time ever not using Tiger Wood's name in the title. The game's release for the eighth generation consoles resulted in much better visuals, which in turn is a result of utilizing the Frostbite 3 engine (known from e.g. Need For Speed Rivals or the Battlefield series), for the first time used in a sports game.

PGA Tour for XONE and PS4 is another installment in the golf-themed sport game series by EA Sports. The changes in the title (the lack of Tiger Wood's name and of number 15) are the result of termination of the deal between Wood and Electronic Arts.

Technical aspects

For the first time in the series' history, the game utilizes the advanced Frostbite 3 engine, which allows for an enhanced golf simulation. Moreover, the loading screens between holes have been removed. It's also worth noting that the game features locations referencing other Electronic Arts games (such as the battleship island from Battlefield 4).
