Overlord is an expansion pack for the space strategy game Stellaris. DLC introduces new options for managing galactic power, focusing on the relationship between the rulers of great empires and their vassals.
Stellaris: Overlord is an add-on to the popular space strategy game from 2016. Both the basic version of the game and the expansion were developed by Paradox Interactive studio.
The purpose of the add-on is to offer players additional options for managing a stellar empire. Overlord allows us to lead the entire galaxy, and alien forces will be able to unite under our flag willingly or will be forced to do so.
DLC expands the diplomatic gameplay, focusing on the relationship between forces that are not equal. To make this possible, the add-on thoroughly reworks the mechanics of vassalisation, making it more attractive and offering benefits to both the stronger and weaker side of such a relationship. Vassalization can be customized with, for example, Vassal Contracts, Vassal Specialists and Overlord Estates.
Stellaris: Overlord also introduces new starting conditions - five additional introductions have been implemented. There are also additional space megastructures, as well as other previously unknown objects to construct that help us control a large empire.
The add-on offers a lot of freedom. Players can create both a great galactic power, which will give profit to all parties involved, as well as become tyrants.
Stellaris: Overlord is not a standalone add-on, so you need the full version of the game to play.
