The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is a jRPG that may evoke associations with the very popular AI: The Somnium Files in his portfolio).
In The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, battles with opponents are in the center of attention. The skirmishes take place in a turn-based mode, on arenas covered with a grid of square fields. We can view the battlefields from a bird's eye view.
We control the main protagonist and his companions, and each of the available characters has been equipped with unique skills. The key to success on the battlefield is not only the proper positioning of team , but also the appropriate use of their strengths.
We can explore the titular academy between battles, conducting conversations and nurturing relationships with the other students. This is when we watch the events from the side. The game allows us to explore both the school itself and the surrounding wilderness and ruins. Who we befriend, as well as the decisions we make along the way, affect the further course of the story and its ending.
In The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy we play as Takumi Sumino. When Tokyo is attacked by bizarre monsters, a teenager is visited by a being called Sirei, who promises him that if he stabs himself in the chest, he will protect those he loves.

They are forming the Special Defense Unit, which is a group tasked with ensuring the school's safety for the next 100 days. SmashPad: 4.5 / 5 by Brandon Perkins
What you are seeing is far more ambitious than it is letting on, so much so that I was left literally gobsmacked by what I experienced.
RPG Fan: 90 / 100 by Sean Cabot
A delightful mishmash of genres, aesthetics, and tones that comes out great either despite or because of its many disparate elements.
Final Weapon: 4 / 5 by Raul Ochoa
The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is an excellent strategy RPG that follows the same aesthetics and themes of the Danganronpa series while being an entirely different game and IP. The game offers a straightforward combat system that's easy to pick up and play while offering some challenging battles. In addition, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy brings an intriguing and eccentric cast of characters with a compelling narrative and shock value at some points of the story.
