Players leave no stone unturned on GTA veteran's new game. They point out MindsEye's biggest problems
MindsEye didn't conquer Steam and attracted a rather small number of players. Those who were tempted to buy it received in return many technical issues and mediocre gameplay.

Yesterday, a new action game called MindsEye officially launched. It's designed by Leslie Benzies, the former CEO of Rockstar North studio. Thanks to his name, the game was able to generate quite a bit of interest, but that didn't result in high player activity. Moreover, people who bought the title aren't satisfied with it at all.

From the first announcements, MindsEye aroused suspicion among some players. So it's no wonder that few people decided to buy a pig in a poke, especially since the pre-release tests didn't inspire optimism. As a result, at its peak, only 3302 players were playing MindsEye on Steam at the same time.

The game's ratings are equally poor - on the Valve platform, only 42% of nearly 700 reviews are positive. Meanwhile, in the PS Store, the average rating is 3.32 out of 5, based on over 1200 reviews. There are quite a few reasons for this state of affairs.
What went wrong?
Definitely the biggest problem that most people complain about is the poor technical condition of MindsEye. Even with the launch patch installed on PS5 Pro, the game can run at 20 frames per second, and it's not any better on the XSX console. PC players also have no reason to rejoice - in reviews on Steam, they point out poor optimization, ubiquitous bugs, graphical glitches, and crashes.
Even if you grit your teeth and turn a blind eye to the technical aspects, MindsEye simply appears as a title with average and generic gameplay, which doesn't stand out in any particular way. Elements such as shooting or driving models are done mostly correctly. The AI of opponents isn't good. The city of Redrock, although beautiful, is empty and there is nothing to do there. The story seems to be interesting for some people, but the narration leaves much to be desired.
In a nutshell - MindsEye could definitely they talked about 20 hours of main gameplay and even 45 hours of side activities).
Some players also suggest that many missions seem hastily prepared - it is possible that they were made using the existing tools in MindsEye, Build.MindsEye (which allows players to "create their own games").
